Famous Oriental Rug
The most famous oriental rug in the world is believed to be the Ardabil Carpet. It is woven silk and wool pile. It contains more than 33 million hand-tied knots and measures 34’6″x17’6″. This masterpiece was made during the 16th Century is now on display at London’s, Victoria & Albert Museum. It was made for the Mosque at Arabil, Iran, 1530.
